MENDHAR, Mar 30: An amount of Rs 30,000 has been stolen from the room of a woman street hawker in Mendhar sub-division of Poonch district.
Report said that some thieves stole Rs 30,000 from the room of Geeta Devi, wife of Govind Kumar, resident of Ludhiana in Punjab, at present ward No 4 Mendhar, who sells old clothes in the market and streets.
The victim woman alleged that she went to work after locking the room at 10 am. When her daughter came to the room at 1 pm, she saw that the lock was broken. When they went inside they found everything scattered and Rs 30,000 kept inside was missing.
A case has been registered at Mendhar Police Station in this regard and investigation has been initiated.
