JAMMU, May 16: Three youths riding a motorcycle today robbed a courier company employee of Rs 5 lakh in Hazuri Bagh area of the city outskirts.
“Parveen Kumar was on his way to deposit the company’s money in a bank when three youths attacked him with sharp edged weapon and lathies and took away the cash”, Incharge, Police Post, Pouni Chak, Sub-Inspector Vikrant Singh said.
He said that Kumar was injured in the attack and shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment where his condition was stated to be stable.
“A case has been registered and efforts are on to identify and apprehend those responsible”, the officer said.
