UDHAMPUR, Sept 10: A whopping amount of Rs 6, 85, 000 in cash was seized from a vehicle in Udhampur district today.

Police sources said that the Altroz vehicle was on its way from Udhampur to Ramnagar when the cash and some BJP flags were seized from it.
They said the owner of the vehicle has claimed that he was carrying the money in view of a marriage function at his home.
“However, after the recovery, the cash and the party flags have been handed over to the District Election Committee,” police sources said.
