RS debates Prez address; Govt says committed to inclusive growth

NEW DELHI: After witnessing several disruptions on various issues, the Rajya Sabha today took up the Motions of Thanks on President’s Address, with the ruling side enlisting the achievements of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.  Initiating the debate, J P Nadda of the BJP said the government was committed for inclusive development of all the sections of society.  “We believe in sabka sath, sabka vikas. Our government has started delivering and a sea change is visible in the political scenario of the country,” Mr Nadda said amid booing from the opposition benches and thumping of desks from the ruling side.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present when the House started discussion on the Motion.  (AGENCIES)
