NEW DELHI : The issue of a separate State of Telangana rocked the Rajya Sabha, forcing adjournment of the House till 1200 hrs.
As soon as the House met for the day, members of the TDP entered the Well, raising slogans like ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’. Pleas by Chairman Hamid Ansari to members to allow business of the House fell on deaf ears. Amid the uproar, the Chairman adjourned the House till 1200 hrs.
The Telangana Bill, which was passed by the Lok Sabha yesterday amid uproar, is scheduled to come up in the Rajya Sabha today.
The House has witnessed disruption on the issue since the beginning of the extended winter session. (AGENCIES)
