JAMMU, Sept 26: Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, former minister and senior leader of National Conference today said that RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has admitted that abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A created sense of losing land and jobs among the people of Jammu Kashmir Ladakh.
“Mr Bhagwat’s demand to allay the fear shows that BJP has taken decision in haste without applying mind and without taking people and mainstream political parties into confidence resulting in fear of losing land and jobs in the hearts and minds of the common people,” the NS leader said in a statement, issued here today.
Mr Sadhotra asked that if RSS chief has sought to allay the fear then what was need to abrogate Articles 370 and 35-A which conferred special status and put check on losing jobs and land by the locals. He alleged that in order to carry forward its agenda and for petty political gains, BJP has put people of Jammu & Kashmir State into sense of insecurity.
Mr Sadhotra re-asserted that majority of the people of the State are convinced that abrogation of Articles 370 & 35A is going to deprive them of jobs and land. “It has created sense of insecurity especially among youth. The people of the State also feel belittle and disempowered after reducing State into Union Territory,” he added.
