RSS conclave in Lucknow from today: Sangh to give clear direction to Modi Govt

The all important 10-day long Rashtriya Swayamseyak Sangh (RSS)conclave starts here tomorrow, which will deliberate upon several important political and organisational issues.
The main agenda as per the RSS functionaries are that to prepre a ground for a better coordination between the BJP Government at the Centre and the RSS besides to discuss the ways and means to implement the Sangh ideology in the field of education, religion and other matters.
This would be the first such meeting of the RSS after BJP Government came in full majority at the Centre for the first time in the country. The meeting could give a clear direction to the Narendra Modi Government on what the Sangh wants from him. The meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal- the highest policy formulation body of the RSS-takes place once a year. The Uttar Pradesh capital will host the event after many years. The conclave, which will continue till October 23, the festival of lights Diwali, would witness presence of senior RSS functionaries, including Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat and karyavak Bhaiyya Ji Joshi. Both the leaders along with others are expected to reach the state capital by this evening. The conclave would be held here at the RSS headquarters here at the Niralanagar.
The meeting of top Sangh leaders, known as the Akhil Bhartiya Karyakari Mandal, is being held in Lucknow after a gap of several years. It is significant as it shows the importance that the RSS is giving to UP.
The main activities during the 10 day meet would start on October 17 when the three days meeting of the Karyakari Mandal would start. Before that the leaders would discuss the agenda of the Karyakari Mandal, a close door activity, RSS sources here today said.
The main function or open session would be held on October 17. RSS sources today said during the meeting, the functionaries would discuss the performance of the Narendra Modi Government and the outcome of the poll results in the Assembly elections of Maharastra and Haryana besides the loss of BJP in the UP bypolls. Among other topics, the meeting will also debate on ‘Love Jihad,’ a term used by the Bharatiya Janata Party to accuse Muslim men of luring Hindu girls into marriage and then forcing them to convert to Islam.
Sources said a detailed debate would also be held on the issue of Hinduism during the conclave. Besides, Sangh is also worried over dwindling attendance at its ‘shakhas’ and over the absence of ‘Bal Shakhas’ in most states, leading to dwindling numbers of RSS cadres.
The political situation in the country, and preparations for the golden jubilee functions of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad will also be discussed. (UNI)
