RSS pledges to take Hindutva across the world

HAMIRPUR (HP), June 25: A twenty-day-old camp for the second-year trainees of the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) drawn from six different states has ended in Himachal Pradesh with a pledge to work for taking the ideology of Hindutva across the world, RSS sources said on Sunday.
While addressing the activists at the closing function in Tipper village of Hamirpur district on Saturday night, Pradeep Joshi -senior RSS ideologue and its All India Joint secretary, public relation department – described India as one of the world’s best nations.
He said that the idea of Sangh is the idea of Hindutva. The goal of the Sangh is to make India the best country in the world.
The RSS is working in society with that aim, and due to its long years of activism, the psyche of society is also changing.
“Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s four-day trip to the US and the world-winning image of India is an example of this,” he told the camp’s 298 volunteer participants representing Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and the Konkan
He said, “For the last 98 years, the Sangh has been working in society. Some say that the Sangh is an idea, a movement, but the idea of the Sangh is of the society and the idea of the country. Sangh wants the citizens of our country to be self-respecting, not self-centred, Hindus are getting organised”.
“We were taught in such a way as if we had no contribution to history. Thanks to Sangh’s efforts, such false notions are changing. Sangh’s idea of Hindutva is close to the concept of spirituality,” he said.
He said that the Sangh is working on important subjects like family enlightenment, environmental protection, and social harmony.
Padma Awardee, Dr. Devendra Singh Rana expressed happiness at RSS becoming such a big organisation..
“Before this, I have gone to Delhi once to attend such a class. Today Dr. (Keshav Baliram) Hedgewar (RSS founder) will be very happy that the organisation has become so big. In conversation with the students, I came to know that there is no discrimination of any kind in the Sangh. Such a feeling is created that we will live for the service of the society and others,” said Rana.
He advised activists to do something good every day, so that the needy people of the society can be helped in one way or the other. (UNI)
