JAMMU, Mar 11: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh today released special issue of its monthly magazine ‘Trikuta Sankalp’, highlighting the relief works done by RSS volunteers during COVID pandemic.
RSS co-ordinator of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Gautam Mengi along with Satyapal, member of the RSS provincial executive and Dr Neelam Sareen, member of the Editorial Board of Trikuta Sankalp, jointly released the special issue during a function organized by Trikuta Samvad Kendra, J&K, here at RSS Headquarters.
The special issue of Trikuta Sankalp has inspirational topics related to service works done by volunteers of RSS in all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, special material has also been published on people who cooperated in service work.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Goutam Mengi informed that during the Corona period in Jammu and Kashmir, RSS volunteers had distributed 19,7770 food packets, more than 45 thousand sanitizers, 1,36,562 masks, 58, 716 ration material kits, 510 PPE Kits and Ayurvedic decoction to 3490 affected people. In addition to providing assistance to 24,749 families, he added, financial assistance was provided to 166 people and three blood donation camps were also organized by RSS volunteers. During this period, RSS also provided financial aid and support to 600 disabled persons while 23 programmes were organized in the honor of the cleaning staff.
Dr. Mengi said that every section of the society, elders and children supported the service work done by the Sangh during the Corona period and the RSS volunteers left no stone unturned to bring relief to the affected people.
Satyapal, member of the RSS provincial executive, also highlighted welfare activities of RSS and said that during every critical moment, the volunteers of Sangh came forward and worked for the society.
Dr Neelam Sareen, member of the Editorial Board of Trikuta Sankalp, threw light on Trikuta Sankalp magazine, and said that it is one of the leading national opinion magazines published from Jammu and Kashmir and its publication has continued since it was started 16 years ago.
Several prominent citizens and RSS activists were present on the occasion.
