RSS takes out route marches

JAMMU, Oct 20: In connection with observance of its 88th Foundation Day, RSS took out Pathsanchalans (route marches) in various parts of Jammu and outskirts today.
RSS volunteers dressed in white and Khaki uniforms participated in the route marches which were taken out in Old City, Gandhi Nagar and Jagti Migrant Camp.
The route march at Old City was led by Dr Gautam Mengi, Vibagh Sanghchalak RSS. It started from Purani Mandi near DBN School and passed via Chowk Chabutra, Jain Bazar, Kanak Mandi, Purani Mandi, Lakhdatta Bazar, Old Hospital and culminated back at Purani Mandi later.
Addressing the RSS volunteers earlier Dr Gautam Mengi highlighted the role of Sangh in nation building and reiterated that Sangh believes in Akhand Bharat the boundaries of which were extended up to South and Central Asia.
He said a united and conscious society is the solution of all problems and Swayamsevaks are actively working uniting society and nation building.
He said keeping this objective in mind the founder of Sangh, Dr Hedgewar had laid its foundation on the day of Vijaydashmi in the year 1925. Since then the day is observed every year all over the country by taking route marches and performing Shaster (arms) Poojan.
Earlier Arms poojan was also performed during all the three programmes by the RSS volunteers.
Another route march was taken from Gen Zorawar Singh Park, Trikuta Nagar and it was led by Rakesh Kumar, Prant Dharam Jagran Parmukh.
The route march passed via Shiva Ji Chowk, Khalsa Chowk, Trikuta Palace, Mini market and returned back to Zorawar Singh Park.
Rakesh Kumar while addressing the volunteers highlighted the role and objective of Sangh on the occasion.
Route march was also taken out in Jagti migrant camp by the RSS activists.
