JAMMU, July 31: In a notable achievement, Rtn Sunil K Sawhney has been appointed as District Chair Child Development for Rotary International District 3070 during the year 2023-24.
The district comprises the entirety of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh UTs, part of Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh. This appointment comes as recognition for his exceptional dedication to Rotary’s principle of “Service above self.”
Rtn Sawhney’s remarkable track record in Rotary includes serving as the General Secretary of RC Jammu, two-time President of RC Jammu, Assistant Governor RID 3070, Chief Sergeant at Arms RID 3070, and various other Rotary assignments.
His commitment to humanitarian causes shines through, as he collected over Rs 4.5 lakhs for the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund during the challenging times of the Covid pandemic.
