RTO Kathua imposes Rs 4.82 lakh fine

JAMMU, Sept 29: The Motor Vehicle Department, Kathua under the Supervision of RTO Kathua Dr. Raj K. Thapa has launched a drive to check traffic violations.
The drive was launched to enhance the compliance of various provision of Motor Vehicle Act & rules framed thereunder.
The drive started by laying a naka on National highway near RTO office. A total of 278 vehicles were checked and fine to the tune of Rs. 4,82,900 was realized on spot under various provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act and other rules.
Various vehicles were imposed fine for offences like not wearing seat belt, without helmet, without Pollution Under Control Certificates, using mobile phone while driving,overloading in goods vehicles etc.
The other members of team comprised ARTO Kathua Kuldeep Singh, MVI Vikas Srivats, MVI Kamal Kumar , MVI Ravinder Kumar and other MVD Officials.
