JAMMU, Nov 16: The Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Srinagar has ordered that all the passenger vehicles that do not possess a valid fitness certificate and route permit shall be suspended for all services.
The order by RTO Srinagar came close to the heels of bloody road accident that claimed 39 lives in Doda district yesterday after a rashly driven bus plunged into a deep gorge.
After yesterday’s accident, meetings were held on the issue of road accidents at the highest level wherein strict measures and stringent actions were recommended against the erring vehicles.
