Ru-Ba-Ru with Sahitya Akademi Awardee Khalid Hussain organized

JAMMU, Apr 2: A Ru-Ba-Ru programme on the life and contributions of Khalid Hussain, Sahitya Akademi and Shromany Punjabi Awardee writer was organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages (JKAACL) under the guidance of Bharat Singh, Secretary JKAACL.
Ashok Angurana, Secretary Agriculture (Retd) presided over the function.
Bharat Singh and Khalid Hussain were present on the presidium.
The programme was attended by large number of intellectuals and writers.
Bharat Singh delivered welcome address and presented copies of latest editions of Sheeraza Punjabi to the dignitaries on presidium.
Surinder Neer, a renowned Punjabi fiction writer of J&K and Dr. Liaqat Jaffary, a renowned Urdu writer of J&K presented detailed research papers on the life, journey and contribution in the field of Punjabi and Urdu of Khalid Hussain.
Khalid shared his life experiences and traced out his track of journey in the field of Punjabi and Urdu literature.
He said that a writer should be far from the boundaries of lands and all other barriers.
Ravinder Koul, veteran columnist, Khurshid Kazmi, Wali Mohd. Asir, Raj Kumar Behrupia, Mohd. Aslam, Swamy Anter Nirav, Aslam Qureshi, Randhir Kour, Deepak Kumar, R.S Kanwal, H.S Gill and others expressed their experiences with Khalid Hussain and his contribution as a Punjabi fiction writer.
In his presidential address Ashok Angurana said that Khalid Hussain’s works are lively because he has recreated the realities lying under the realities of life.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Popinder Singh Paras, Editor Sheeraza Punjabi whereas vote of thanks was extended by Dr. Sahahnawaz, Editor Gojri.
