JAMMU, Mar 30: The FICCI FLO Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Chapter underwent a transition in leadership for the 2024-25 term, with Ruchika Gupta, Joint Director of MIER Group of Institutions, assuming the role from outgoing Chairperson Varuna Anand, a prominent entrepreneur hailing from the region.
A press statement said the handover ceremony unfolded over an impressive four-day event at the FICCI Head Office in Delhi, adhering to national protocol.
This event witnessed leadership transitions across all chapters nationwide during the Governing Body Meet. During this juncture, outgoing and incoming chapter chairs presented their final and inaugural presentations, respectively.
In her vision statement, Ruchika Gupta delineated her primary areas of focus, including education, skill development, innovation, and fostering collaboration across sectors to empower women from diverse backgrounds.
She unveiled a comprehensive calendar of events for the upcoming year, commencing from April 1st, 2024. Gupta’s vision document, intricately aligned with national priorities for FICCI FLO, garnered acclaim from the national leadership team.
Meanwhile, a special ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam honored 40 former Presidents of FICCI FLO, with the Vice-President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, delivering a keynote address.
Awards were bestowed by Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs and Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Subsequent to this, change of guard ceremonies transpired at both chapter and national levels, with Anurag Thakur, Minister of Information and Broadcasting of India, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest.
FICCI FLO JKL’s commendable achievement of 100% member renewal was acknowledged with an award presented by National President Sudha Shivkumar to Varuna Anand for her tenure in 2023-24.
A leadership retreat convened at Taj Vivanta, Suraj Kund, facilitated the presentation of vision documents and solidification of future collaboration plans amongst FLO members.
