Ruckus in Assembly

Sir,
The five day Assembly session which concluded recently witnessed public representatives coming to blows on the floor of the house. A session of only five days could pass only resolution seeking dialogue on restoration of special status. Deputy CM moved a resolution for seeking dialogue on restoration of Article 370 which was passed with majority voice vote. This resolution was passed in a hurry without any discussion or taking into confidence the leader of opposition party. Opposition party in the House strongly opposed it tooth and nail. The leader of the opposition said that passing of resolution is an illegal one and was not part of the schedule business. Passing of resolution with regard to Article 370 by Assembly has no justification since it has been abrogated by Parliament and later on its abrogation was upheld by the Supreme Court of India. The Supreme Court of our country has settled it once for all and no power of the land can override the decision of the Supreme Court.
Any exercise against the decision of the Supreme Court is liable to punishment. Article 370 and its abrogation has proved beneficial for the people of Jammu & Kashmir. It has led to restoration of peace in the course. The increase in flow of tourists is witnessed and huge development has taken place. Anti-national elements has been exploiting Article 370 for their ulterior motives. It is better to discuss public welfare issues than wasting of time on frivolous matters.
