NEW DELHI : Congress Members yet again trooped into the Well in the Lok Sabha today pressing for removal of Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for the alleged scam in DDCA under his tenure as president.
No sooner did Speaker Sumitra Mahajan rejected their notice for adjournment at the start of the day’s sitting this morning, the principal Opposition party Members moved into the Well and resorted to slogan shouting to press for their demand.
The Speaker tried to persuade them to return to their seats and allow smooth working of the House. The protesting Members, however, remained unrelenting and slogan shouting continued throughout Question Hour.
When the Congress Members were raising slogans in the Well, those from the other Opposition parties were sitting on their seats, participating in the proceedings.
Yesterday too, issue of alleged irregularities in DDCA rocked both Houses of Parliament leading to adjournments and walk out.
