“…it is crucial to respect the people’s mandate and align your Government’s actions with the aspirations of the citizens,” the letter read.
The MP stated that while he is confident the Government will address the political issue through the Legislature/Assembly, “I would like to suggest some priorities that may come through your Government’s decisions, which could greatly impact the welfare of our society.”
Regarding the release of prisoners, Ruhullah emphasized the urgent matter of “those held without trial.”
“Your Government should prioritize efforts to facilitate their release, ensuring justice and upholding the rule of law. This action would resonate deeply with those who value fairness and due process.”
On the rationalization of reservation policies, the MP noted that it is essential to revisit recent policies, stressing that “a balanced approach that supports deserving sections of society while maintaining open merit is necessary to foster an inclusive environment.”
He stated that rationalizing these policies can promote social equity without compromising standards of excellence.
Concerning the filling of vacancies, the MP emphasized that the swift filling of Government positions should be a priority, “as it will provide thousands of deserving candidates with employment opportunities.”
He further pointed out that with winter approaching, it is vital to address the high electricity tariffs that burden consumers.
“Reducing these tariffs and ensuring a stable supply of electricity will help families withstand the harsh winter conditions.”
Lastly, Ruhullah raised concerns about the verification process, noting that the existing procedures “are overly harsh and often penalize individuals for actions they did not commit.”
He urged that this process be reconsidered to ensure it is fair and just for all applicants.
“I hope you consider these suggestions as you work to meet the expectations of the people. Your leadership has the potential to pave the way for a progressive and just administration.”
