JAMMU, Apr 12: All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations organized a programme,”Run for Justice” to pay homage to Bharat Rattan Baba Sahib Dr. B.R Ambedkar” on his 124th birth anniversary, attracting the attention of Govt. regarding denial of justice and constitutional rights entitled to people reserved categories.
The rally was started from Ambedkar Park Resham Ghar Colony toward Ambedkar Chowk Rail Head, Jammu which was flagged off by Minister for Forest Bali Bhagat and MLA Dr. Davinder Manyal. Fagging off the rally the Minister and MLA remembered services of Dr. B.R Ambedkar for upliftment of the down trodden communities and assured full cooperation from their side for redressal of the problems. Rally passed through various chowks of the city and finally culminated at Ambedkar Chowk under the statue of Dr. B.R Ambedkar.
President of confederation threw light on the motive of programme run for justice which was meant for making awareness to the masses and State Govt. especially regarding deficiencies in implementing social justice portion of the constitution.
He made strong plea to the Govt. that the backlog share of the reserved categories should be worked out and filled through special recruitment drive for benefit unemployed educated youths. He also stressed upon the Govt. to ensure waiving o admission fee of the reserved candidates who are eligible for scholarships. Besides he also stressed upon total implementation of Mandal Commission, political reservation to schedule tribe and stop dilution of schedule tribe staus. He also emphasized the Govt. equal share in land and business opportunities.
Other who addressed the rally were Darshan Lal, Kali Dass, Mohan Snehi, Ramesh Sarmal, Ramesh Kaith, Roshan Choudhary, Dev Soni and others.
