RAMBAN, Dec 28: Bar Association Ramban today held election, in which Advocate Asif Runyal was elected as president, while Advocate Kulvinder Singh was elected as vice-president.
The election started at 11 am at Bar Association office Ramban. For the post of Bar president , Advocate Asif Runyal defeated Advocate Bilbeer Singh Bali by a margin of 19 votes. Total 44 votes were polled and Advocate Asif Runyal secured 31 votes where as Balbeer Singh Bali got 12 votes.
Other office bearers were elected un opposed. Advocate Kulvinder Singh Sumbria was elected for the post of Vice President, Advocate Sajjid Sehmat for the post of Gen Secretary and Advocate Sandeep Singh Chib for the post of Cashier.
The elections were held through secret ballot in presence of Advocates and Judicial officers.
