JAMMU, Mar 23: On the call given by All India Regional Rural Banks and United Forum of Regional Rural Banks Unions, all the Rural Banks/ J&K Grameen Bank employees will observe three day strike on March 26, 27 and 28 across the State.
The work in all the Rural Banks in the State will remain suspended during these days. The strike is being observed in support of the pending demands of the Rural Bank employees. They are opposing privatisation move of the Govt and proposal for issuing IPO for RRBs, seeking withdrawal of Civil (Misc) SLP 39288/ 12 and extension of pension , PF parity at par with sponsor banks, implementation of compassionate appointment scheme with retrospective effect, extension of computer increment in line with NCBs, ensure minimum wage and other allied benefits at par with other banks and declaration of IBA as apex level negotiating forum for RRBs in line with sponsor banks.
Vikas Choudhary, general secretary, JKGBEA and Rashpal Choudhary, general secretary, JKBBOA appealed to all the employees of RRBs to assemble at J&K Grameen Bank Head Office, Narwal Jammu on 26,27 and 28 at 10 am.
