UDHAMPUR, Mar 3: Apni Party has expressed concern over underdevelopment and poor infrastructural development in rural areas of Udhampur District.
An impressing function was organized, here today by former MLA Chenani Faqir Nath, in which senior leaders from Jammu namely General Secretary Vikram Malhotra, Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh, Apni Party Trade Union, President, Ajaz Kazmi, Sohan Singh Sony and others participated.
On the occasion, over 51 leaders and workers from J&K PDP, National Conference, Shiv Sena and other political parties joined Apni Party.
Welcoming them into the party, Apni Party General Secretary Vikram Malhotra said that it was encouraging to see people have come in support of Apni Party due to its progressive ideology and politics based on truthfulness.
“The divisive politics played by the traditional politics promoted Kashmir against Jammu and Jammu against Kashmir. It has dented both the regions and it is very unfortunate,” said Malhotra and added that Apni Party believes in unity of both the regions and brotherhood in the society.
Manjit Singh, Provincial President, Jammu, said that the Party was founded with an aim to give an alternative to the people of J&K which can promote unity and developmental agenda. “We speak on issues which are achievable. We do not use people for vote banks and avoid doing anything in return for them,” he said.
He rued that there was no road connectivity or black topping in rural areas. “People have to walk miles on foot to reach the town. The dispensaries have no doctors in many villages and PHE fails to provide water supply in every village. The people still drink water from the ponds and natural springs,” he added.
