JAMMU, June 28: A felicitation function to honor the legendary Dogri folk artist, Romalo Ram, on being bestowed the prestigious Padma Shri award, was organised today.
The programme was organised by RVS iGlobal.
Speaking on the occasion, Sandeep Sharma, COO of RVS iGlobal, expressed his deepest respect and admiration for Ram’s dedication to preserving and promoting Dogri culture.
“Taking the Dogri language from the village to the international level is a matter of pride for all the people of Jammu and Kashmir residing around the globe,” he said.
“The personalities like Romalo Ram and Sars Bharti are the true volunteers of society, promoting our culture and traditions,” he added.
Romalo Ram addressed the gathering, expressing his gratitude for the recognition and his commitment to continuing his artistic endeavors.
He mentioned that he is actively promoting Dogri and related activities within the state.
“Receiving the Padma Shri award from the President of India is not just an honor for him but a source of pride and recognition for all Dogri enthusiasts,” he said.
RVS iGlobal staff members were delighted to host Romalo Ram and were exhilarated by his spontaneous performance during the interaction session.
