JAMMU, Apr 19: Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha and Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha today came in rescue of agitating Agriculture Technocrats who are on hunger strike for last 52 days to press the Government to fulfill their genuine demands.
Narayan Singh, president, AKRS and Shakti Dutt Sharma, general secretary, DBPS, today took a serious view of ongoing agitation of agricultural technocrats and expressed serious concern over the adamant attitude of the State Government towards the technocrats.
They said Agricultural technocrats are part and parcel of the society and demanded that the Government should come up positively and redress the genuine demands of the technocrats.
President of the Association, Jammu Region, Dr Surinder Radotra flayed the negligent attitude of the State Government as it has failed to pay any heed towards their genuine demands for the amendment of cabinet decision for the regularisation of Rehbar-e-Ziraats on the pattern of ReT.
He informed that one of their agitating technocrats namely Mohd Imran has suffered from a massive kidney problem and Hepatitis -B during the hunger strike and he was hospitalized today as his condition was very serious. “If anything wrong happened to him, the Government will be responsible”, he added.
Radotra also informed that yesterday a memorandum of their genuine demands with an application seeking appointment with CM was forwarded in the office of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal, who assured the them that the copy of memorandum along with the application would be forwarded to CM.
