JAMMU, Jan 10: Shri Amarnath Barfani Langars Organisation (SABLO) while welcoming the decision of Shri AmarnathJi Shrine Board (SASB) to honor Bhandara organizations (NGOS) rendering services to Shri Amarnathji pilgrims by presenting them appreciation certificates however, raised the numerous objections the manner in which these certificates are to be distributed. SABLO, which held a meeting at Ludhiana, Punjab today said it has sent several representations to Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) and it once again urged the SASB to take the follow-up action on pending reply to its e-mails dated 13.12.2024, 25.12.2024 and 31.12.2024 regarding appreciation certificates. The copies of the letter were also forwarded to other authorities of the Board, a handout issued by SABLO said.
It showed concern for not receiving any response to its previous correspondence in this regard. The handout said SABLO has taken serious exception to non inclusion Bhandara organisations in the meeting organised by SASB on December 15 last year. The SABLO opposed delegation of distribution authority to a private individual.
This action has called into question the credibility, impartiality, and fairness of the SASB, the meeting said. It termed the manner in which these appreciation certificates are being proposed to be given as insult instead of honor, the handout alleged.
Further it said that it has come to the notice of SABLO that a private individual is allegedly using the authority to create fear among representatives of Bhandara Organizations. Claims have been made that the same individual can influence blacklisting or denial of permissions for rendering Bhandara services. This behavior is causing undue anxiety and tarnishing the image of the Shrine Board. Chairman SABLO, Vijay Thakur its president, Rajan Gupta general secretary, H.K. Chugh Finance secretary, Vijay Mehra attended the meeting among others.
The meeting strongly urged the SASB that all certificates/letters handed over to the private individual should be recalled immediately and their proper distribution be ensured by authorized personnel of the Board mainly by LG.
