JAMMU, Aug 7: Shri Amarnath Barfani Langars Organisation (SABLO) has sought clarification from Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) and J&K UT administration on the reports that the Yatra from Pahalgam track to holy cave has been suspended and diverted via Baltal track for immediate repairs to the pahalgam- holy cave track.
Rajan Gupta, president, H K Chugh general secretary, Vijay Mehra, finance secretary, Pankaj Soni, PRO and Fakir Chand Verma, route coordinator Pahalgam-holy cave in a representation to Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha and other authorities of the Board and UT administration has sought clarification to confirm the authenticity of this news as there is great confusion and chaos amongst Yatris and the Bhandaras rendering services on the Pahalgam-holy cave route.
Rajan Gupta, president and H K Chugh general secretary SABLO has asked that in case the Yatra has been suspended via Pahalgam axis then all those Bhandaras who want to windup their operations due to non arrival of Yatris on this traditional Pahalgam-Chandanwari-holy cave route be relieved immediately.
The SABLO representatives stated that this is not the first time, last year i.e during Yatra 2023 also, the Yatris of Pahalgam, Chandanwari-holy cave route were diverted to Baltal and forced to suffer harassment due to arbitrary decisions taken by Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board. Bhandara organizations also feel cheated and harassed when they are left with no Yatris and moreover, they are not issued NOC and permission to leave and made to sit idle without any service.
They condemned the arbitrary and dictatorial decisions of SASB and strongly demanded that the Board should bring transparency in its working by taking well considered decisions, placing the latest decisions on their Website, give wide publicity through electronic, print and social media networks for information of Yatris as well as Bhandara Organisations.
The SABLO office bearers expressed their strong resentment and stated that it being the Apex Body is not receiving any response to the emails, What Sapp, text messages despite numerous reminders. Apart from this, the officials of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board are neither attending on phone calls made on their mobile phones nor they are calling back. The continued silence of officials of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board is neither desirable nor tolerable, they added.
