JAMMU: The State Administrative Council (SAC) which met here today under the Chairmanship of Governor N.N. Vohra approved the following promotions in Police administration.
Dr. S. Gopal Reddy (IPS-85) and S. P. Vaid (IPS-86) have been promoted to the grade of Director General of Police (DGP). Dr. S. Gopal Reddy has been promoted notionally from 1stJanuary 2016 and regularly from the date he joins the State cadre and and S. P. Vaid has been promoted w.e.f 1st January 2016.
Mr. R. R. Swain (IPS-91) and Mr. A. K. Choudhary (IPS-91) have been promoted to the Higher Administrative Grade of IPS (ADGP) w.e.f 1st January 2016.
Mr. Manmohan Singh (IPS-99) (retired) has been promoted to the Super Time Scale-(i) (DIG) from 1st January 2013 to 3rd September 2013 against an available vacancy and from 4thSeptember 2013 to 30th November against the post of DIG created on supernumerary basis.
Mr. Uttam Chand (IPS-2002) has been promoted to the Super Time Scale –(i) (DIG) w.e.f 1st January 2016.
Mr. Vidhi Kumar Birdi (IPS-2003) and Mr. Keshav Ram (IPS-2003) have been promoted to the Selection Grade of IPS w.e.f 1st January 2016.
Mr. Sandeep (IPS-2012) and Ms. Sargun (IPS-2012) have been promoted to the Senior Time Scale of IPS w.e.f 1st January 2016.
The State Administrative Council which met here today under the Chairmanship of Governor N.N. Vohra approved the release of Super Time Scale–1 (CF Grade) in favour of Mr. P. K. Raghav (IFS-2001) on proforma basis w.e.f from 1st January, 2015 and Ms Shally Ranjan (IFS-2001) on regular basis w.e.f 1st January, 2015.
SAC also approved release of non functional Grade Pay, attached to the post of Joint Secretary in the Central Government i.e. Grade of Rs 10,000 in favour of Mr. Vasu Yadav (IFS-94) w.e.f. 13-10-2014 in terms of Rule-3 of IFS (Pay) (2nd Amendment) Rules, 2010.
