JAMMU, Mar 3: The State Administrative Council (SAC) which met here today under the chairmanship of Governor N N Vohra approved the promotions and transfers in police and Forest Departments.
Dr S Gopal Reddy and S P Vaid have been promoted to the grade of Director General of Police (DGP). Dr. Reddy has been promoted notionally from January 1, 2016 and regularly from the date he joins the State cadre and Dr Vaid from January 1, 2016.
R R Swain and A K Choudhary have been promoted to the Higher Administrative Grade of IPS (ADGP) from January 1.
Manmohan Singh (retired) has been promoted to the Super Time Scale-(i) (DIG) from 1st January, 2013 to 3rd September 2013 against an available vacancy and from 4th September 2013 to 30th November against the post of DIG created on supernumerary basis.
Uttam Chand has been promoted to the Super Time Scale -(i) (DIG) from January 1.
Vidhi Kumar Birdi and Keshav Ram have been promoted to the Selection Grade of IPS from January 1.
Sandeep and Sargun have been promoted to the Senior Time Scale of IPS from January 1.
The SAC approved the release of Super Time Scale-1 (CF Grade) in favour of P K Raghav on proforma basis and Shally Ranjan on regular basis.
SAC also approved release of non functional Grade Pay, attached to the post of Joint Secretary in the Central Government i.e. Grade of Rs 10,000 in favour of Vasu Yadav.
Meanwhile, S K Mishra, DGP (Prisons) has been transferred and posted as Special DG (Coordination) against an available vacancy.
S. Gopal Reddy, on deputation to Teleangana has been posted as Commandant General, HG/CD/SDRF.
Dr S P Vaid, ADGP (Hqrs), PHQ was transferred and posted as DGP (Prisons).
V K Singh, ADGP (Security) has been transferred and posted as ADGP (Hqrs).
S M Sahai, ADGP (Armed) has been transferred and posted as ADGP (CID) against an available vacancy. The salary of the officer holding the post of ADGP (Trgs) will be drawn against the post of ADGP Homeguards/CD/SDRF.
Dilbag Singh awaiting orders of posting has been posted as SDGP (Security).
Lalat Indu Mohanti, ADGP Homeguards/CD/SDRF has been transferred and posted as ADGP (Armed). He will continue to hold the additional charge of ADGP Homeguards/CD/ SDRF till further orders.
A K Choudhary, shall continue to hold the post of MD, PHC, J&K. The post of MD, PHC, J&K has been declared equivalent in rank and status of ADGP till held by the officer.
Garib Dass, DIG, NKR, Baramulla has been transferred and posted as DIG (Adm) PHQ against an available vacancy.
Uttam Chand, SSP Jammu upon his promotion has been posted as DIG Baramulla.
