Sadbhavna tour for Poonch youth flagged off

MENDHAR, Aug 21: “Sair-e-Watan”, National integration tour for 25 Gujjar and Bakkarwal youths of remote villages of Mendhar tehsil was flagged off by Rashtriya Rifle Sector Commander here today.
Apart from instilling a sense of awareness amongst the youths the tour aims at promoting national integration, religious harmony and provides valuable exposure to the rich cultural heritage and all round progress made by our country especially in the field of education.
During the tour, the youths are scheduled to visit Rashtrapati Bhawan, Red Fort, Delhi Metro (Airport express), Terminal-3, Parliament House, India Gate, Jamia Millia Islamia University, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Agra University, Pusa, Vice President House, PMO in Delhi, Maruti Factory & Ambience Mall in Gurgaon. They will also visit the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Jama Masjid at Agra.  These youths are also scheduled to meet Vice President, Hamid Ansari and Lok Sabha Speaker, Sumitra Mahajan.
The locals and the family of these youths expressed their gratitude to the Army for giving them an opportunity to visit other parts of the country.
