Sadbhavna tours of Rajouri girls flagged off

JAMMU, Sept 3 :         An educational-cum-motivational tour for 23 girl students of far flung and remote areas of the Sunderbani tehsil of Rajouri District (Jammu & Kashmir) was organised by Kalidhar Brigade under the aegis of Crossed Swords Division.
The tour was flagged off by Maj Gen NPS Hira,  General Officer Commanding, Crossed Swords Division at Akhnoor, today. While interacting with the touring students, Maj Gen Hira, said that “today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders. He said out of various projects conducted by Army under Operation Sadbhavana, the tours of children to various parts of India have a lasting impression on their mind. He also said that the girls of Sunderbani are going for such a tour for the first time.”
The tour is spread over a period of 10 days from Sep 3 to Sep 12. During the tour, the students will visit cities of Agra and Mathura. The students will visit places of historical interest and national importance like Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, ITC Maurya 5 Star Hotel, Jama Masjid, Krishna Janma Bhumi, Vrindavan, Mathura Oil Refinery, Mathura Museum and also interact with higher commanders of Army. The tour is aimed to broaden their horizons by witnessing the diverse cultures of various States, the technological and infrastructural advancement of the nation and to give wings to their dreams.
