BENGALURU, Aug 13 : Renowned spiritual leader Sadhguru on Tuesday called for an immediate halt to the atrocities against the Hindu community in Bangladesh, emphasizing India’s civilizational role in protecting minorities in the region.
In a statement, Sadhguru said, “The national borders that were drawn in recent times are not absolute. The cultural ties and the civilizational connect are far more important. Bharat should not be bound just by border logic but by broader realities of a civilization that is older than 75 years.”
Sadhguru also stressed the importance of documenting the atrocities in detail, saying, “Immediate halt to despicable atrocities in Bangladesh is paramount, but documenting these atrocities in as much detail as possible is equally important.”
This is not the first time Sadhguru has spoken out on this issue. He has consistently emphasized India’s responsibility to protect minorities in the region, saying, “The atrocities being perpetrated against Hindus is not just an internal matter of Bangladesh. Bharat cannot be Maha-Bharat if we do not stand up and act at the earliest to ensure the safety of minorities in our neighbourhood.”
Sadhguru’s comments have resonated widely, particularly among those who believe in India’s civilizational role in the region.
Sadhguru’s statement comes amid escalating violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. He emphasizes India’s civilizational role in protecting minorities in the region and calls for immediate halt to atrocities and documentation of events in detail.
Sadhguru’s previous statements on the issue have sparked widespread debate. (UNI)
