JAMMU, Nov 4: Cautioning the people against the political groups, which are bent upon to divide the people on religious, caste and regional lines, Minister for Planning and Development, Labour and Employment, Ajay Sadhotra today appealed them to supplement Government efforts of ensuring overall growth of the State.
He was addressing a public meeting at Ladore in Marh block.
He said that National Conference will emerge victorious in 2014 assembly elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to steer the state towards progress and prosperity.
Sarpanchs, Panchs and other prominent persons of Ladore and adjoining villages apprised the Minister of their demands and problems including construction of bridge in the area to provide connectivity with Marh and blacktopping of approach road to Ladore.
Responding to their demands, Mr. Sadhotra announced that construction of bridge would be started before March next year and said that after completion of the same, the people of the area would be benefitted a lot.
He also appealed youth to come forward and avail the benefits of self employment schemes launched by the State and Central Governments, especially SKWEPY.
He said that Coalition Government, headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, is committed to channelize the energy of youth towards right direction for equitable and speedy development of the state.
