VIJAYPUR, Mar 10: National Conference Additional General Secretary and former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today expressed grave concern over the increasing unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a public rally, Sadhotra said that the BJP has pushed unemployed youth and the other segments of the society, especially the farmers to despair and hopelessness.
“In an era of the so-called start-up boom across the country, it is like sprinkling salt on the wounds of those struggling to stand-up on due to lack of jobs”, he said.
“It is quite intriguing that instead of generating employment to tackle the burgeoning problem, the administration is promoting and incentivising unemployment by misleading the youth by promising two lakh jobs,” he said and lambasted the BJP for blocking the avenues of the educated and enterprising youth.
On the occasion, senior PDP leader, Dr Harmesh Singh Salathia, who was looking after Samba and Kathua district joined the National Conference.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Javed Rana, Rampal, Abdul Gani Malik, Sodagar Gupta, Master Noor Hussain ex-MLC, Chander Udhay Singh, Satwant Kour and Mohinder Singh.
