JAMMU, Aug 30: Senior NC leader and contesting candidate of the INDI Alliance from Jammu North Assembly segment, Ajay Sadhotra today launched a scathing attack on the BJP Government for its failure to provide basic amenities to the people of Jammu North.
Kick-starting his poll campaign in Jammu North Assembly segment here today, the former Minister of State, Sadhotra criticized the BJP-led Government’s ten-year tenure in the country, particularly pointing out that the residents of Jammu North have been left stranded due to persistent shortages of drinking water and irregular power supply. “Despite the installation of Smart meters, the Government has miserably failed to ensure a regular power supply. To make matters worse, people are being burdened with inflated electricity bills,” he said.
Sadhotra questioned the BJP leadership, asking them to explain why general public are still deprived of basic amenities such as regular water and electricity supply, non-availability of Govt ration. He called for the BJP to clarify why their governance has left the people of Jammu North struggling for basic necessities.
Sadhotra emphasized that the INDI Alliance is the solution to the problems plaguing Jammu North, promising that, if voted to power, the Alliance would prioritize resolving the issues faced by the public.
Speaking on the occasion, Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial president of NC, asserted that the BJP has completely failed to address the real concerns of the people. He reiterated the NC’s commitment to improving the quality of life for residents by offering concrete solutions, including 200 units of free electricity, provide one lakh Government jobs to youth of J&K, Rs 5000 per month to female heads of households of EWS, 12 cylinders free of cost per year to EWS, increase free Rice/Atta allocation from 5 Kg to 10 Kg per person per month and a regular supply of drinking water free of cost.
The programme was organized by Ranjit Singh, vice president of NC for Jammu district, and chaired by Raghbir Singh Manhas, District president Jammu Rural- A.
Among those who were present include- Chander Mohan Sharma, Ghar Singh, Charan Dass Bhagat, Rakesh Sharma, Randhir Chib, Gurnam Singh and Satpal Karlopia.
