Sadhotra reviews facilities at Yatri Niwas

JAMMU, July 13: Minister for Planning, Ajay Sadhotra today visited Shri Amarnath Yatra Jammu base camp Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar and took stock of the facilities being provided to the pilgrims.
The Minister had a round of the Yatri Niwas complex and took stock of boarding, lodging and other facilities made available for the pilgrims.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Pardeep Gupta who accompanied the Minister, briefed him about the facilities being provided to the yatris for their comfortable stay. Director Tourism Soujanya Sharma, Commissioner JMC K. L. Khajuria, Chief Engineer PDD Shenaz Goni and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
The Minister impressed upon the concerned officers to gear up their men and machinery so that all the facilities including power, drinking water, sanitation, transport, security, Langar arrangements and other facilities are provided to the Amarnathji pilgrims at the base camp and other stations.
He asked CAPD for regular market checking to ensure that the yatris are not overcharged by the shopkeepers during their stay in Jammu. He hoped that this year’s Yatra will be a grand success.
The Minister said that the Government is determined to ensure smooth conduct of the annual yatra besides ensuring all necessary services to the devotees.
