Sadhotra slams BJP for pushing small traders to wall

JAMMU, Aug 18: Senior National Conference (NC) leader and former minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today blamed the BJP Government for its anti-people policies, saying that the small traders have suffered hugely under its over nine years governance especially post demonetization and introduction of illogical GST regime.
Interacting with the office bearers of Swarankar Sanstha Jammu West at Janipur in Jammu North Assembly Constituency, Sadhotra expressed solidarity with them and marginalized traders and said such insensitivity on the part of the Government had never been comprehended. The daily earners, the Rehriwallas and vendors have been undergoing very tough times due to economic mellow down and wrong policies being pursued by the Government at the Centre and in Jammu & Kashmir, he said.
Sadhotra said all the issues of Swarankars would be brought to the notice of the concerned through NC president and Member Parliament Dr Farooq Abdullah. Nothing can be expected from the present government here as it is being run by the bureaucracy which is clueless about the problems being encountered by common masses due to their disconnect with people, he added.
He further added that inflation has crossed alarming portions breaking backbone of the poor, small traders and middle class segments of the society and held the BJP responsible for unprecedented economic crisis across the country. The former Minister said the representative Government is the only option for freeing the people from the shackles of the economic downturn. He further said that only NC can meet the challenges faced by J&K.
The Swarankar Sanstha was headed by Surinder Bhasin (chairman) and Ashwani Babbar (president). The interaction was organized by Ramesh Abrol and Gurnam Singh.
