DODA, Mar 14: Safai Karamcharis and Need Felt Workers of Municipal Committee Doda staged protest to press for resolution of their longstanding demands.
The protest was held under the aegis of Low Paid Employees Federation. The protesters were demanding their regularization, hike in their wages and release of wages which are still pending from last four months.
Addressing the protesters, senior leaders of the Federation Shakeel Ahmed Dev and Ghulam Hassan Pampori highlighted various demands of the employees. “The Safai Karamcharis and Need Felt Workers are serving in the Municipal Committees of Chenab region including Bhaderwah town for more than seven years, while some are working on daily wage basis for over two decades. We demand hike in their salary and regularization,” the leaders said.
