Safai Karamcharis threaten to go on indefinite strike

UDHAMPUR, Oct 11: Demanding 7th Pay Commission and release their pending salary, Safai Karamcharis today protested in front of the office of Municipal Committee Udhampur.
They also threatened to go on indefinite strike from tomorrow if their demands are not conceded immediately.
The protesting employees assembled in front of the Municipal Committee office and raised slogans against the MC Udhampur as well as District administration for not releasing Seventh Pay Commission and salary.
David Sandhu, State vice president of the Safai Karamchari Union and District presidents Gardhari Lal said they have been demanding release of the Pay Commission and salary since long but there was no positive action on their demands.
“If our salary and Seventh Pay Commission are not released immediately, we will go on strike from tomorrow,” they warned.
