JAMMU, Sept 20: To conduct the elections of Civic Safai Karamcharis Union, an Election Committee was constituted today with S Attar Singh as its chairman.
The Election Committee later announced the date of elections and said that the polling will be held on October 7 while the filling of nomination papers will be from September 22 and 23. The date of withdrawal of forms will be on September 25.
This was stated by the Union today. It said the election of the organization had become due as the term of old body expired on September 6.
The other Executive members of the Election Committee included Rohit George, Shanker, Amar Mooman and Ashani.
They also made an appeal to Municipal authorities to appoint the Returning Officer for free and fair conduct of elections.
