Sagar announces 30 lakh for developmental works

SRINAGAR, July  30 : Minister for Rural Development, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs,  Ali Mohammad Sagar today conducted an extensive tour old city, Srinagar and took stock of the facilities.
The areas visited included Alikadal, Budgeer, Buchh Mohalla, Rajouri Kadal, Roshanghar Mohalla, Arm Masjid, Khanyar and Babademb.
While interacting with the people at different places, the Minister  urged upon the people to understand the importance of peace for the sustained development and welfare of common man. He said that the people are reaping the dividends of development which was due to the peaceful envirence that the state witnessed an unprecedented tourist flow which would go a long way transforming the socio-economic profile of the State.
Mr. Sagar announced Rs. 30 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for repair and renovation of lanes and drains at Budgeer. He also directed the officers to install new electric poles so that electric supply of the area is augmented.
The Minister also asked the officers to prepare a comprehensive plan for construction of community hall at Buchh Mohalla, Rajouri Kadal maintaining that it would cater to the long term demand of the people of the area.
Mr. Sagar also inspected the pace of work on the community hall being constructed at Arm Masjid, Khanyar with an estimated cost of Rs. 2 crore. He directed officers to ensure that the same is completed upto September this year so that it can be thrown open to the public.
The Minister was accompanied by Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Dr. G. N. Qasba and other senior officers of various departments.
