Sagar inspects NBA implementation in Dansal, Satwari blocks

JAMMU, Jan 17:  In order to get the first hand information about the implementation of Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan (NBA), the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats, Ali Mohammad Sagar today visited Dansal and Satwari blocks of the Jammu district and conducted house to house inspection and interacted with the beneficiaries of the scheme.
The Minister was accompanied by senior officers of the Rural Development Department and other officers of the district administration.
While interacting with the beneficiaries of NBA, the Minister said that strict instructions have been passed to the officers to ensure its full implementation, so that the benefit reaches the targeted populace ensuring that the villages and far-flung areas of the state get the much needed facilities besides, contributing to the clean and defecation free environs of these areas. He said that the scheme is being implemented throughout the state and 1.5 lakh Individual House Hold Latrines (IHHL) are to be constructed during the current year.
The Minister further appealed the people to take full benefit of various flagships schemes of the Rural Development Department, which have been instrumental in changing the socio-economic profile of rural and far-flung areas of the state besides, creating the much needed job opportunities and asset creation in these areas. He said that a full proof mechanism has been put in place to ensure the proper implementation of these schemes.
It is pertinent to mention that 450 beneficiaries of Satwari block have been provided IHHL points and in Dansal block 350 have been extended benefits of the scheme.
