SRINAGAR, Mar 17: MLA Hazratbal, Salman Ali Sagar, has called for the removal of the ban on Section 5 Fards in Khimber and Chatterhama, which has been causing serious problems for local residents.
Sagar said the ban, in place since 2015, has frozen land ownership in these areas, leaving landowners unable to use or sell their property.
“This has led to significant financial strain for many families,” he said.
Sagar pointed out that although the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar submitted a report on the issue six months ago, no action has been taken yet.
Sagar urged the Government to take quick action and issue Fards to the rightful landowners to end the hardships faced by the locals.
In response, the Government assured that it would review the situation and take necessary steps to address the concerns of the affected people.
