Sagar takes stock of developmental projects

Minister for Rural Development Ali Mohammad Sagar taking stack of developmental projects and interacting with localsat Srinagar on Saturday.

SRINAGAR, Sept 29 : Minister for Rural Development, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Mohammad Sagar today conducted an extensive tour of Srinagar city to oversee the status of implementation of various developmental work.
The Minister was accompanied by Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Dr G N Qasba, Managing Director, JKPCC and other senior officers of different departments and executing agencies.
Mr Sagar while inspecting the pace of work on the re-construction of the revered Dastgeer-Sahib (RA) Shrine directed the officers to ensure that the same is completed within the time frame already given to them by the Chief Minister. He said that the Shrine is revered by every cross section of the society and we have to ensure that it gets reconstructed as early as possible and inconsonance with the older structural patterns.
The Minister also inspected the pace of work being carried out on the Naqashband Sahib (RA) Shrine and asked the executing agencies to speed up the work on this prestigious project. He said “we have to ensure that the extension project and the beautification of its catchment areas is done inconsonance with the local architecture and taste.”
Sagar also visited the newly reconstructed shrine of Hazrat Bul Bul Shah (RA) which has been constructed by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation and directed the concerned officers to ensure that any remaining work, if any, is done within the shortest span of time, so that the devotees coming to pay obeisance do not face any inconvenience.
While inspecting KZP and Syed Miraqshah road projects directed, the officers of the concerned agencies to ensure that these prestigious projects one completed as soon as possible so that the old city gets better traffic connectivity besides ensuring its decongestion.
