Sahai represents J&K in Czech Trade Fair

JAMMU, Oct 18: Rahul Sahai, Chairman of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) Jammu Chapter, represented Jammu & Kashmir at the prestigious International Engineering Trade Fair held in Brno, Czech Republic.
During his visit, Sahai had the honour of meeting Petr Fiala, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, where they discussed potential avenues of collaboration between the two regions, particularly in the engineering and technology sectors.
In addition to his meeting with Czech Prime Minister, Sahai also engaged with several high-ranking officials and business leaders, including- Ing. Lukas Vicek, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic; Jan Michal, CEO, Czech Invest; Michalis Busios, Project Director, BVV Trade Fairs Brno; David Muller, Director General, European Union and Foreign Trade Section, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Czech Republic; Peter Jaros, Department of Africa, Asia, and Australia, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Czech Republic and Pavel Cap, Project Director, Association of Engineering Technology, Czech Republic.
During these meetings, Sahai extended a formal invitation to these dignitaries and officials to visit Jammu & Kashmir to explore various opportunities for joint ventures and technology transfers in the region. He highlighted the region’s potential as a hub for industrial growth, particularly in the areas of manufacturing, automotive parts, and packaging materials.
Sahai also emphasized the robust Industrial Policy of Jammu & Kashmir, which offers numerous incentives for foreign investments. He urged the Czech delegation to send representatives from their Industry Department to visit Jammu & Kashmir and explore the potential for collaboration and investment in various sectors.
He referred to the initiatives taken by Prime Minister Modi, and Lt Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha, for their focus on fostering investments in Jammu & Kashmir, particularly in the manufacturing sector in Jammu.
