Sahayak Sabha Chandigarh holds series of meetings

JAMMU, June 27: To work and promote the literature, culture, and sports  among the displaced Kashmiri Pandits Kashmiri Sahayak Sabha Chandigarh held a series of meetings  at Jammu.
The meetings were organised by Sanjay Raina its general secretary.
In its first meeting with the Vemedh Rangmanch, a theatre group, Raina eulogized  the role and exercise of  this group which is portraying the real picture of Kashmir history through its plays, and assured them that he will exert laboriously for the genuine support of the young artists and playwrights. ‘It is the right media to convey the feelings of a hurt community’ he added.
In another meeting with the youth regarding the sports and physical fitness, Raina said that despite all odds the youth has faced due to exodus yet they have made us proud by excelling in various departments of life. ‘It is the time when we have to play a positive role in building up the sports structure not for the community alone but also to be a part of national building.
While interacting with Moti Kaul, vice president State BJP, Raina apprised him of steps taken by his organization for promotion of sports. Moti Kaul informed him about his recent visit to London in which he raised the issues of the community at the international forum.
In yet another function Aryan Ramesh, secretary AIKS, a social worker, and a philanthropist was presented award of honour for his contribution towards the displaced community.
The award was given by Mr. Kaul and Mr. Raina jointly on behalf of Harmukh Cricket Club, Chandigarh.
