Sahitya Akademi organizes Dogri short story session

JAMMU, Aug 19: Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, organized online short story reading session, in which three eminent story writers of Dogri were invited to read their selected stories.
The first participant was Chaman Arora who read his,”Earth Work”, a story which is true and faithful painting of working babus of the Works Department of the Govt. Chaman is veteran story teller and has three books to his credit in the said genre.
Inderjeet Kesar, the 2nd participant, is a prolific writer of Dogri, who has written extensively on almost every genre and his work comprises of almost two dozen books in Dogri. Ashok Datta, another story teller of this session is a great weaver of events and paints his character like portraits. He has published one book of Dogri short stories.
Dr N Sureshbabu Dy Secretary Sahitya Akademi introduced the authors to the audience while Darshan Darshi, Convener Dogri Advisory Board of the Sahitya Akademi said that online literary events are providing a fairly good replacement to the stage programs.
