JAMMU, Jan 3: Hindi Sahitya Mandal organized a multi lingual poetic met at Women’s College Parade here today.
As per a release, Dr R L Shant, Amin Banihali, Pyasa Anjam and Randhir Singh Rajpuria were present in the presidium.
In his address Dr R L Shant appreciated organizing such type of literary activities and stressed on quality and continuity of literary meets.
The welcome address was made by Prof Kiran Bakshi. The prominent poets who recited their poems included Dr Chanchal Dogra, Dr Nirmal Vinod, Dr Pawan Khajuria, Sanjeev Bhasin, Sham Talib, Yogita Yadav, Dr Aruna Sharma , Sham Bihari and Rahat Hussain Rahat.
Besides, Susheel Begana, Usha Kiran, O P Shakir, Sunil Sharma, Krishan Kumar, Kamaljeet, Raj Kumar Bahurupia, Raj Kamal, Mastana and Kewal Kumar Kewal also recited their poems.
The programme was conducted by Dr Pawan Khajuria, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Sanjeev Bhasin.
