Sahni demands Statehood restoration to J&K

JAMMU, Oct 26: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K Unit president, Manish Sahni here today inaugurated a Women’s Complaint and Assistance Center of Shiv Sena at Ranbir Yatri Bhavan.
On the occasion of Accession Day, Sahni demanded restoration of Statehood to J&K along with Article 371 to secure cultural identity of the State.
He also demanded special rights in education, employment and land ownership for the people of J&K.
Sahni said that on October 26, 1947, Jammu and Kashmir acceded to India with specific terms and conditions signed by Maharaja Hari Singh for the benefit of his people.
“However, the Statehood is yet to be restored to J&K as the State was reorganised into two union territories on August 5, 2019. Also the people have been kept away from democratic processes for over five years,” he said.
Shiv Sena leaders including Meenakshi Chhibber, president of Women’s Wing; Sanjeev Kohli, Balwant Singh and youth secretary Rajesh Handa were also present on this occasion.
