The duo got feedback from different quarters and party cadres about the state of affairs of the relief distribution by the Government and the efforts of the Congress activists to supplement the efforts of the administration in covering the most deserving sections, especially, migrant labourers in different parts of Jammu province.
“Although the Government is making every effort to provide relief to the needy but there is huge gap between the needs and the efforts. There is need to do lot more in several areas,” Sahwney said, adding the migrant labourers, who have no ration cards and are not permanent employees, need a special attention.
“The Govt must provide adequate quantity of ration to them for their survival,” Sahwney said, adding that Congress leaders and workers must reach to such people on priority, in their neighbourhood as desired by Congress High Command.
He appealed to the party workers to give proper feedback to the party’s control room for onward submission and also to take up with the different authorities in this hour of crisis.
He asked the district presidents to share the information collected from different units and frontal wings for the update of the party leadership and appreciated the party workers engaged in the service of people, in the absence of any cooperation from the authorities.
