Saini Sabha demands implementation of 27 pc reservation

R S PURA, Nov 6: J&K Saini Sabha here today urged upon the Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha to increase the reservation quota from 4 to 27 per cent as prevalent at the national level.
Speaking at a function organized to celebrate the grant of OBC status to Saini community of J&K here today, Gurdeep Saini said that 27 per cent reservation shall be for all the 42 castes including the Saini community and justice shall now be done with everyone.
He said that members of Saini community are economically and socially neglected and backward even today and the community needs to be equitably uplifted to bring it at par with other communities and this can only be achieved through reservation.
Brig. S.S Saini, Kamal Saini, IGP Retd, Dr. Garma Saini, Anmol Saini, Dr. Piyush Saini, Kuldeep Saini, Advocate Pawan, Abhi Saini, Dr. O.P Saini, Omkar Saini, Rajkumar, Yashpal and Rakesh Saini also spoke on the occasion.
The Sabha members celebrated the grant of OBC status by busting crackers, distributing sweets and dancing.
Gurdeep Saini further said that Saini community was neglected for the last 75 years but the present Central Government has provided them due reservation.
